Design Display Group (DDG) is seeking a Designer to join our design team within the Prestige Health & Beauty Sector of retail.

Requirements

  • 5+ years Designing POP/Retail Store Fixtures
  • Solidworks experience is a plus
  • 3DS Max
  • Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign experience is a plus
  • PC Proficient
  • Portfolio (to present demonstrating your experience)
  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Teamwork skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong technical skills, along with typography, composition and information design skills
  • Ability to visualize ideas in two and three dimensions
  • Strong aptitude to learn new software modeling and animation programs
  • Experience in project work with Sephora is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills that works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation skills; writing skills a definite advantage

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and submit new materials and material boards to customer
  • Generate placeholder artwork for graphic areas on a display for rendering purposes
  • Supply multiple design concepts to customer with rough engineering exploded views as dictated by customer
  • Work with engineering and model shop during prototyping phase to ensure that design intent is upheld
  • Create final renderings for use on installation instructions
  • Collaborate to create client presentation materials
  • Manage the creation/revisions to instruction sheets for multiple brands within a retailer.
  • Import engineering-generated Planogram for inclusion in the instruction sheet document
  • Participating in various design projects from concept to completion
  • Producing drafts, prototypes and engaging design solutions
  • Listening to feedback to hone skills and improve design
  • Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects
  • Collaborate with team members to launch designs
  • Use feedback from leaders to improve work
