Senior SolidWorks Engineer

Creative Plastics (CP) is seeking a Senior SoldWorks Engineer who utilizes SolidWorks to create production engineering drawing packages based on designs provided by our in house design team.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Reviews design drawings and converts them to detailed engineering drawings to be used by both the production team as well as vendors.
  • Assures engineering package contains details required for those utilizing the prints (purchasing, programmers, machine operators, assembly personnel, etc.)
  • Works collaboratively with designers to assure drawings take into account existing tooling and capabilities as well yields and efficiencies.
  • Mentors junior level engineers by teaching them best practices
  • Use extensive problem solving skills to create original and innovative solutions.

 

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field – preferred, but not required.
  • 5-8 years’ engineering experience utilizing SolidWorks or a similar program - required.
  • Extensive understanding of drawing, engineering, and industry standards
  • High level of problem solving skills
  • This full-time position requires the ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
