Packaging Engineer

Marketing Alliance Group (MAG) is seeking a Packaging Engineer to be based in Chattanooga, TN. This position will be responsible for reviewing our product and shipping methods and determining the best way to package products for safe transit while minimizing overall packaging costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meets with project managers to assure a clear understanding of the product and the customers preferred shipping method.
• Analyzes engineering drawings so as to develop an economically feasible packaging solution.
• Develops drawings/sketches of proposed packaging.
• Develops proposal with analysis of packaging options.
• Spends time on shop floor to assure a complete understanding of the product and assembly/packaging processes.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of relevant packaging experience.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
