Manager of International Sourcing and Logistics

Marketing Alliance Group (MAG’s) is seeking a Manager of International Sourcing and Logistics. This individual is charged with managing and growing a globally optimized sourcing and logistics network which minimizes total costs and maximizes profitability while delivering superior products.

This position is responsible for the following:

• Identifying and qualifying global partners from areas such as China, Vietnam, India, Mexico, Turkey and Poland.
  • The partners would supply an array of products from components (metal, wood, plastics, lighting, electronics, hardware, etc.) and assemblies to fully displays and fixtures.
• Developing and implementing processes to standardize international quotes and processes related to qualifying vendors.
• Communicating status of all international orders to applicable stakeholders.
• Keeping abreast of pertinent details which impact the cost of importing items such as duties and tariffs.
• Managing of MAG’s personnel in Shenzhen, China.

Characteristics/Skills required to be successful in the position:

• 3-5 years of experience with responsibilities similar to the above in either Displays and Fixtures or Furniture.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) to clearly articulate business needs.
• Ability to build meaningful and lasting relationships with international partners.
• Ability to research and follow through on commitments in a timely manner.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and identify a variety of cost efficient quality options.
• Vast knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Must be a flexible team-player.

This position is based in the US and can either be based at our home offices in Dalton, GA and Chattanooga, TN  or can be a telecommute position with travel to the home offices.
